Backstage at Nicole Miller the beauty look was “healthy and beautiful” according to lead makeup artist James Kaliardos from MAC Cosmetics.
Eyes were defined but not overly done. The Cup of Joe Pro Eye Palette was used, blended on the lid and lower lash line. Scene Eye Shadow was used in the crease and along the lower lash line as well. The waterline and inner eye was lined with Chromagraphic Pencil, and Opulash Optimum Black was applied to upper lashes.
For lips, it was the classic “Nice and Spicy.”

Nicole Miller
Nicole Miller took her inspiration for the Spring from the speed and adrenaline of extreme sports. This led her to use a plethora of colours in her line. The show started with patterned bright leggings and it didn’t let up for long. There were bright blouses and skirts, which were neutralized by dark garments. There were also head to toe printed looks and black and white prints for the less daring. The collection itself included everything from wearable separates of blouses, pants and shorts to bright sundresses and little cocktail dresses. Long trenches, bright messenger bags and towering platforms accessorized the looks.

AND OF COURSE…THE NAILS…..A MUST DO AND EASY TO DO YOUR SELF AT HOME….
Checked Please by CND
Here is another look created by CND Runway Nail Professional, Wanda Ruiz for Nicole Miller. Again, totally wearable and pretty easy to do.
These eye-catching checkered manicures were created using CND Colour in Raspberry Parfait and a custom mixed blue made up of Anchor Blue, Dark Ruby, Eclectic Purple and added blue pigment. Nails were topped off with one layer of Ice Blue Shimmer Effect.
Recreate these nails in the salon by painting one stripe of blue down one side of the nail and then another stripe of pink on the other side, then go in and paint the corners with the opposite colors. Grid with tape for the sharpest finish.

HOW ABOUT THE NAILS WITH THE “IN” ACCESSORIES ?!?
SO, TO PUT IT ALL TOGETHER… HERES THE 411…
If you’re wondering where hair and makeup trends are headed, you need to look no further than the Spring 2012 fashion shows. Beauty host Amber Milt chatted with the experts at Nicole Miller, Tahari and Milly for the scoop.
Nicole Miller Makeup
James Kaliardos, lead makeup artist of the M.A.C Pro Team, told Amber that while you usually see a lot of natural looks for spring, he was creating a “pumped-up natural” for Nicole Miller. Inspired by the idea of a woman going to the gym still looking fabulous, Kaliardos used a redish-brown color all around the eye with a grayish color over to deepen the socket. He contoured the cheeks with a tawny blush and used Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Nice ‘n’ Spicy for a natural lip look. He described it as that perfect color he’s been searching for, for years. Check out M.A.C’s eye shadow palettes here and blush palettes here.
Beauty note: Contouring is a great way for any woman to make her face look thinner and cheekbones more defined.
Nicole Miller Hair
Looking to complement the young, bright and vibrant Nicole Miller collection, hair stylist Kevin Ryan went for a “light touch.” Opting for a middle part and a subtle bend to open up the hair, he didn’t want the look to be too heavy or ladylike. He used a double barrel curling iron to get natural waves as opposed to too-prefect curls. Try one of these double barrel irons from Folica.
Beauty note: Using a double barrel curling iron is no easy task and takes practice. But the end result is worth it.
HERE IS SOME PICS OF THE HAIR…***IT’S A DO NOT TRY SO HARD LOOK… JUST BE EFFORTLESS AND ALL NATURELLL ;0
