FASHION FRIDAYS…..

Kate Ermilio is my new favorite up-and-coming designer. Her clothes are incredibly simple, but beautifully made and insanely chic. I love the feminine but still conservative cuts and little details, like unexpected pleating and cut-out backs. The bright bursts of colors don’t hurt much, either, and she works almost exclusively with black, whites, navy, hot pink, red, and bright blue. Indeed a very bold but chic color palette.
 

What a Delight: Katie Ermilio Spring 2012

Katie Ermilio comes from a fashion dynasty in which her grandfather was Grace Kelly’s personal clothier.  She received an education on textiles and tailoring from her father’s custom clothing shop.  Ermilio’s tailoring education can easily be seen in her Spring 2012 collection, which oozes ladylike glamour.  Her clothes are a great fit for a modern day Grace Kelly or Jackie O.  The clothes are timeless and beautiful featuring pastel slacks, jewel toned shorts, tulip skirts, and drop waist dresses.  Here’s a look at some of Katie Ermilio’s delightful Spring 2012 lookbook. 


For the nails: baby bardot MANICURES
At Kate Ermilio, Candice Manacchio designed “Baby Bardot” manicures in French pink with subtle, double moons using CND Colour in Creamy Cameo layered with Ice Blue Shimmer Effect. The first moon was created with CND Colour in Brilliant White, and the entire nail was covered with CND Colour in Washed Down White. A second, smaller moon was inserted using Brilliant White for a fantastically femme finish.



key makeup artist Renato Almeida created a classic, chic look with perfectly-drawn eyeliner and a soft lip color. Check out more press at Lucky and WWD. Makeup was the classic winged liner and the hair inspired by bridget bardot:

I am truly inspired by her simple, classic but gorgeous collection, and how wearable the fashion, makeup , nails and hair can be worn by the everyday person, and her personality is awesome, I loved working with Kate!
