TODAY IS ALL ABOUT LASH CURLERS! LAST WEEK IT WAS ABOUT MASCARA, AND NOT ABOUT FALSE LASHES, SO NOW LETS REALLY GET INTO EMPHASIZING THOSE LASHES NATURALLY. ON THE RUNWAY FOR SPRING/SUMMER YOU SEE THE DRAMATIC LIP BUT A CLEAN EYE, HOWEVER, THE EYE IS REALLY ABOUT DRAMATIZING YOUR LASHES ONLY!

SO FIRST, THERE IS THE STANDARD LASH CURLER THAT WE ALL KNOW, BUT, DON’T DO IT RIGHT? THEN GET NO RESULT! FIRST:

LOOK DOWN INTO A MIRROR SO YOUR EYES SEE THE CURLER GOING TO THE BASE OF YOUR EYELASHES VERSUS LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD, BECAUSE THAT WILL MAKE YOUR EYE BLINK ALOT IF IT COMES  STRAIGHT ON. CURL BEFORE OR AFTER MASCARA, IF AFTER, WAIT UNTIL MASCARA IS FULLY DRY SO IT DOESN’T STICK.

OR, HEAT UP YOUR EYELASH CURLER TO REALLY MAKE IT CURL FAST AND LAST. JUST LIKE IF YOU USE A CURLING IRON OR HEAT UP CURLERS, ITS THE SAME EFFECT

Here’s How:

  1. Eyelash curlers work best on clean eyelashes. Make sure eyelashes are free of mascara. If necessary, use eye makeup remover to remove old mascara.
  2. With your blowdryer on low heat, blow air on the curler for no more than 5 seconds. Touch the metal. If it’s hot, let it cool for a few seconds. You don’t want to burn your eyelid.
  3. Open the curler, clamp lashes near the roots. Hold for 10-30 seconds. Never curl lashes after you apply mascara — as the mascara dries, lashes can stick to the curler & be torn from the roots. Don’t bother curling bottom lashes.
  4. Repeat on the other eye.
THEN THERES THE SPOON METHOD:
HEAT UP THE SPOON WITH A BLOW DRYER, AND WHEN ITS NOT TOO HOT TO TOUCH
YOUR EYE, PRESS YOUR LASHES AGAINST IT WITH YOUR THUMB AND BEND AND HOLD
FOR 20-30 SECONDS.
THEN WE HAVE THE MORE PRICEY HEATED LASH CURLERS THAT GIVE THE SAME EFFECT:
THEY ARE LIKE MINI CURLING IRONS FOR THE EYES! BUT THE BLOW DRYER ON THE LASH
CURLER WORKS JUST FINE!!!!
THEN THERE IS THE HEATED COMB:

Blinc’s Heated Lash Curler is simple-to-use and easily shapes lashes in seconds, with extravagant, long-lasting curves.

Blinc Lash Curler works without clamping or using excessive pressure making it safer and not damaging for your lashes.

Nothing sets a curl better than heat…after all, that’s how we curl the hair on our heads! It’s the same for your lashes. Not only is it safer, heated curls last longer than pressure curls.

Blinc Lash Curler has met the challenge of delivering the precise amount of heat that can set a long lasting curl without damaging your lashes.

Blinc Lash Curler’s simple yet advanced design gives you more control and makes it easy to reach and curl even your tiniest lashes.

Ready to use in 30 seconds, blinc Lash Curler only requires one AAA battery (included, remove plastic casing from battery before using).

Blinc Lash Curler is small, compact making it effortless to carry, even in the smallest makeup case or purse.

For your safety, Blinc Lash Curler’s heated comb has a special built-in guard that prevents contact with your skin and eyes.

With Blinc Lash Curler, you can enjoy the benefits of curling your lashes, making them look wider, alert and more youthful!

THEN WE HAVE SPECIALTY CURLERS LIKE JAPONESQUE:

I really like precision lash curlers because they allow you to curl your lashes in sections rather than all at once.  This lets me curl just the sections that really need it and it eliminates pinching due to ill fitting curlers. I really like how the precision lash curler can give different amounts of curl to each area of your lashes.  I can do my center eyelashes in three or four sections because they’re the straightest and hardest to curl.  While my outer lashes are naturally curled and just need a quick squeeze.  I didn’t experience any pinching and the curler was easy to position and move along my lash line.

There’s two versions of the Japonesque precision lash curler.  A plastic one and a more traditional metal one.  While there’s not much difference between the two, the metal precision curler is of course the more sturdy and better built of the two.  I really don’t know why anybody would prefer the plastic version since it costs more than the metal version and tends to warp and bend over time. If you want a long lasting curler that will last for years, go for the metal version.

YOU CHOOSE WHATS MOST COMFORTABLE FOR YOU, THERE’S EVEN EASY TO HANDLE ONE:

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT, ALL SHAPES AND FORMS, THAT REALLY IN THE END GIVE YOU THE

SAME RESULT, I PROMISE! I HAVE TRIED ALL OF THEM!!!!

AS LONG AS YOU USE ONE OF THESE METHODS AND THE RIGHT MASCARA (SEE LAST WEEKS POST ON THE DIFFERENT MASCARAS)

THEN YOU ARE GOOD TO GO! NO NEED FOR EXPENSIVE TREATMENTS, POTIONS OR FALSIES! LOOK GORGEOUS NATURALLY!

TOMORROW…THRIFTY THURSDAY!

So excited to get new makeup! who wouldn’t? I was in desperate need of a NEW foundation and was told by many to try Makeup Forevers HD Foundation, of course when you walk up to the testers there’s like 100 colors! The Makeup/Sales girl Rebecca was extremely helpful, I said, for some reason I can pick out foundation shades for everyone else but myself, she didn’t even hesitate to try some out on me, So I ended up with #120

Heres the best part…did you know that if you purchase a product from Sephora and bring it home and it, well, looks awful on you, that you can return it for a credit?!?

A little birdie told me that one…So guess what Im doing, Bringing back the Smashbox 15 hour one because I don’t like how it looks on me at all! And of course, I bought some other popular stuff:

Urban Decay Potion Eye Primer

Urban Decay Naked Palette ( NO, Not the Newest one, it’s still sold out! )

Violent Lips ” The Red Glitteratti” Temporary Lip tattoo ( To try on a YouTube Video )

AND A FREE “SUGAR KISSES LIP DUO” BY FRESH AS A BIRTHDAY BONUS GIFT THEY GAVE ME ( IF YOUR A INSIDER MEMBER ) SO SIGN UP IF YOUR NOT!

HOW DO YOU PICK OUT A LIPSTICK SHADE?

You walk up to a makeup counter in a department store and all you see are over 100 different lipsticks, all different colors, lip glosses, lip balms, lip pots…Where do you begin? So i bet you grab a lipstick and test it on your hand right? WRONG! the right area to test out the trueness of the color is on the inside finger tip, that is the closest and most true to your lip. bet you didn’t know that! also, ask the professional to test it on your lips, so you can see how you look in it ( make sure they sanitize it first, ewwww ) there are a variety of shades, (let say red for instance), because of skin tone, wether your a cool or warm or even neutral (will get into that in another topic ) so the variety is there to find YOURS!

WHAT IF IM IN A DRUGSTORE WITH NO TESTERS?

This is easier once you know if your cool, warm or neutral. Most do have testers, but if you stumble across a lip shade that has no tester? I know some stores like CVS will let you purchase a shade, bring it home, try it, and if you don’t like it, they allow you to return opened makeup (just don’t use it a thousand times )

The best shade is the one that still looks great even if you’re wearing no other makeup. This is a color that will always work for you.

If you want just a hint of color, you’ll want to opt for a colored lip gloss or lip tint over regular lipstick. Most cosmetic lines offer sheerer products for you to choose from.

You’ll want to test lipstick whenever possible. Just because a shade looks great in the tube, doesn’t mean it’ll look good on you.
