I arrived to my brides parents home in Niantic, CT on Saturday, The house was beautiful, right on the water literally. From the minute I walked in the door, I have never seen so much detail put into a wedding…

from this seating/floor plan above, the table seating cards to the wedding favors, everything was straight out of a catalog, it’s amazing how much can go into one day. The brides mother said she changed the seating arrangement so much, so this chart above is brilliant, the sticky notes allow you to keep moving the people. There were baskets filled with Flip Flops in every size for the woman that would want to kick off their heels and put these on. The bride also had Pashminas made for every women attending as well. For the bridesmaids, kacie the bride had robes and gift totes made for all of her girls, and they wore the robes while getting hair and makeup done with me and tonya.

aren’t the robes so cute? So, the bridesmaids dresses were all different pastel colors that were really pretty. They all wore a different syle and different color..

But… Nothing of course is better  than the bride. She put so much heart & thought into this, look at her dress and shoes!!!!

So of course I did Airbrush makeup on her, and tonya the hairstylist with Naomi’s Studio did her hair in a beautiful chignon with a ribbon of crystals… heres some pics and the before and after…

I hope Kacie’s wedding day was everything she dreamed it would be. I really enjoyed her family and friends and the hospitality of her mother. Everything was so beautiful! Congratulations Kacie :)

CHECK OUT MY BRIDES TATTOO ON HER BACK

SHE ASKED ME IF THERE WAS ANY WAY WE CAN HIDE THIS FOR HER WEDDING DAY, BUT, WITHOUT IT RUBBING OFF. IF YOU DIDN’T KNOW THIS ALREADY, YES THERE ARE TONS OF TATTOO COVER MAKEUP OUT THERE, HOWEVER, ONE RUB UP AGAINST IT AND IT’S COMING OFF!!! BIG NO NO WHWN IT COMES TO WEDDING DAY, A VERY EXPENSIVE WEDDING DRESS, OR EVEN… RAIN! SO, THATS WHERE THE BEAUTY OF WATER PROOF AIRBRUSH MAKEUP COMES IN AND OF COURSE… SKILL!

SO WHAT I DID HERE AS YOU CAN SEE IS I STARTED TO FIRST AIRBRUSH WITH RED. THE COLOR RED BLOCKS OUT BLACK, DARK BLUE AND VIBRANT COLORS. YOU WANT TO FIRST CREATE A COLOR BLOCK THEN START TO WORK YOUR WAY UP WITH COLORS THAT RESEMBLE THE SKIN TONE. IF YOU ONLY HAVE MAKEUP, THAT IS FINE, USE A RED LIP LINER, OR LIPSTICK, THEN WORK YOUR WAY UP WITH CONCEALERS… THE TRICK IS

TO POWDER IN BETWEEN EACH COAT WITH TRANSLUCENT POWDER TO SET THE COLOR YOU DID BEFORE. IT TAKES TIME AND PATIENCE!!!

MY BRIDE WAS SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULT. TATTOO GONE, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY PARTS OF MY JOB I LOVE.

First Let Me Show You Before…

nails, we all know that annoying snag you get on your nails that is catching on EVERYTHING! And after the crazy holidays I could definitely use a massage or spa day..BUT, January is budget month, can’t really splurge on too many things, So the least in expensive way to treat yourself on a budget is to get a manicure, heres how…I stopped into my neighborhood nail salon called Oasis Nails & Spa in Branford town center

I was greeted immediately, the atmosphere was very modern, clean and cozy. My manicurists name was Eli, he gave me a meticulous manicure after removing Shellac from my nails (which is my favorite and lasted 2 weeks) During the removal, he gave me neck and shoulders an amazing massage. Then he fixed my split nail without me even having to ask him. the manicure even included an exfoliation scrub which most salons don’t do in a basic manicure. During the manicure, a woman sat next to me who just got engaged in the past 2 days and she was excited to get Shellac to have nice nails to show off her new ring, So..

Of course I was eager to tell her about Naomi’s Studio for her wedding hair & makeup (the team I work with doing makeup) and was able to give her a lot of different referrals and tips. I believe we are in certain places for a reason, I believe I really helped her. When I went to dry my nails at the drying section, Eli gave me another shoulder massage (YES 2 Massages! ) I Know, Awesome..So My point is , for the price of a manicure, I got a my dry skin removed, my nail fixed, gorgeous new hands, feel like new, met a new possible client or at least helped her in other ways, and got a massage.
